Barford Neighbourhood Development Plan - Plan adopted

The Barford neighbourhood development plan was made part of Warwick District Council's local development framework on 10 October 2016.

Warwick District Council decided to make the Barford neighbourhood plan part of its local development framework on 10 October 2016. The plan will inform the development of the Parish up 2029.

In a referendum on whether Warwick District Council should use the Barford neighbourhood plan there was a 96.7% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 6 October 2016 and had a turnout of 45.2%.

The Examiner's report on the Barford neighbourhood plan was issued to Warwick District Council on 5 November 2015. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Barford, Sherbourne and Wasperton Joint Parish Council had submitted its draft neighbourhood plan to Warwick District Council who publicised the plan for a consultation that ended on 17 April 2015.

Barford, Sherbourne and Wasperton Joint Parish Council had published their pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that took place between 6 October 2014 and 17 November 2014.

The application from Barford, Sherbourne and Wasperton Joint Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Warwick District Council on 8 August 2014.
