Myland and Braiswick Neighbourhood Development Plan - Plan adopted

The Myland and Braiswick neighbourhood development plan was made part of Colchester Borough Council's local development framework on 8 December 2016.

Colchester Borough Council decided to make the Myland and Braiswick neighbourhood plan part of its local development framework on 8 December 2016. The plan will inform the development of the area up to 2032.

In a referendum on whether Colchester Borough Council should use the Myland and Braiswick neighbourhood plan there was a 87.2% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 15 September 2016 and had a turnout of 11.8%.

The Examiner's report on the Myland and Braiswick neighbourhood plan was issued to Colchester Borough Council on 5 May 2016. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Myland Community Council had submitted their draft neighbourhood plan to Colchester Borough Council who publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 11 January 2016 and 22 February 2016.

Myland Community Council had published its pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that took place between 15 May 2015 and 26 June 2015.

The application from Myland Community Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Colchester Borough Council on 28 January 2013.
