Marton West Neighbourhood Development Plan - Referendum results published

The referendum result on the Marton West neighbourhood development plan was published on 20 October 2016.

In a referendum on whether Middlesborough Borough Council should use the Marton West neighbourhood plan there was a 89.5%vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 20 October 2016 and had a turnout of 15.6%.

The Examiner's report on the Marton West neighbourhood plan was issued to Middlesbrough Borough Council on 26 May 2016. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Marton West neighbourhood forum had submitted their draft neighbourhood plan to Middlesbrough Borough Council on 7 December 2015. Middlesbrough Borough Council then publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 15 January 2016 and 25 February 2016.

Marton West neighbourhood forum had published their pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that took place between 30 January 2015 and 16 March 2015.

The application from Marton West neighbourhood forum to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Middlesbrough Borough Council on 18 June 2013.
