Devizes Neighbourhood Development Plan - Plan adopted

The Devizes neighbourhood development plan was made part of Wiltshire Council's local development framework on 7 December 2015.

Wiltshire Council decided to make the Devizes neighbourhood plan part of their local development framework on 7 December 2015. The plan will inform development in the Town up to 2026.

The Devizes neighbourhood plan has passed a referendum with a vote of 90% in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 17 September and had a turnout of 22.1%.

The Examiner's report on the Devizes neighbourhood plan was issued to Wiltshire Council on 5 May 2015. The Examiner had found that the neighbourhood plan could proceed to a referendum provided that modifications were made.

Devizes Town Council had submitted their draft neighbourhood plan to Wiltshire Council on 11 September 2014. Wiltshire Council then held a consultation on the draft plan between 29 September 2014 and 17 December 2014.

The pre-submission draft neighbourhoo plan had been published by Devizes Town Council for previous round of consultation that was held between 24 March 2014 and 12 May 2014.

The application from Devizes Town Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Wiltshire Council on 27 September 2013. The application was submitted on 16 April 2013.
