Wellingborough Borough Council decided to make the Wollaston neighbourhood plan part of their local development framework at a meeting of their Full Council that was held on 20 December 2016. The plan will inform the development of the Parish up to 2031.
In a referendum on whether Wellingborough Borough Council should use the Wollaston neighbourhood plan there was a 75.8% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 8 September 2016 and had a turnout of 24.6%.
The Examiner's report on the Wollaston neighbourhood plan was issued to Wellingborough Borough Council on 4 April 2016. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.
Wollaston Parish Council had submitted its draft neighbourhood plan to Wellingborough Borough Council who publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 4 November 2015 and 18 December 2015.
Wollaston Parish Council had pubished its pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that took place between 28 November 2014 and 19 January 2015.
The application from Wollaston Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Wellingborough Borough Council on 9 January 2013.
