Sonning Common Neighbourhood Development Plan - Plan adopted

The Sonning Common neighbourhood development plan was made part of South Oxfordshire District Council's local development framework on 13 October 2016.

South Oxfordshire District Council decided to make the Sonning Common neighbourhood plan part of its local development framework on 13 October 2016. The plan will inform the development of the Parish up to 2027.

In a referendum on whether South Oxfordshire District Council should use the Sonning Common neighbourhood plan there was a 94.1% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 29 september 2016 and had a turnout of 47.6%.

The Examiner's report on the Sonning Common neighbourhood plan was issued to Soth Oxfordshire Districtt Council in May 2016. The Examiner found the provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Sonning Common Parish Council had submitted their draft neighbourhood plan to South Oxfordshire District Council who publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 28 January 2016 and 17 March 2016.

Sonning Common Parish Council had published its pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that took place  between 6 February 2015 and 27 March 2015.

The application from Sonning Common Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by South Oxfordshire District Council Council on 25 October 2013.
