Great Dunmow Neighbourhood Development Plan - Plan adopted

The Great Dunmow neighbourhood development plan was made part of Uttlesford District Council's local development framework on 8 December 2016.

Uttlesford District Council had decided to make the Great Dunmow neighbourhood plan part of its local development framework on 8 December 2016. The plan will inform development in the Parish up to 2032.

In a referendum on whether Uttlesford District Council should use the Great Dunmow neighbourhood plan there was a 92.9% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 3 November 2016 and had a turnover of just over 20%.

The Examiner's report on the Great Dunmow neighbourhood plan was issued to Uttlesford District Council on 16 June 2016. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Great Dunmow Town Council had submitted its draft neighbourhood plan to Uttlesford District Council who publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 1 March 2016 and 12 April 2016.

Great Dunmow Town Council had published their pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that took place between 31 July 2014 and 24 September 2014.

The application from Great Dunmow Town Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Uttlesford District Council on 21 June 2012. The application was submitted on 25 October 2012.
