Vale of White Horse District Council decided to make the Blewbury neighbourhood plan part of its local development framework on 14 December 2016. The plan will inform planning decisions in the Parish up to 2031.
In a referendum on whether Vale of Whitehorse District Council should use the Blewbury neighbourhood plan there was a 94.5% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 24 November 2016 and had a turnout of 42.9%.
The Examiner's report on the Blewbury neighbourhood plan was issued to Vale of White Horse District Council on 25 August 2016. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.
Blewbury Parish Council had submitted their draft neighbourhood plan to Vale of White Horse District Council who publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 16 June 2016 and 28 July 2016.
Blewbury Parish Council had published their pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that took place between 1 February 2016 and 14 March 2016.
The application from Blewbury Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Vale of White Horse District Council on 10 March 2014.
