Bromsgrove Local Plan - Found Sound

The Local Plan for Bromsgrove was inspected and approved on 16 December 2016.

The Inspector's report on the Bromsgrove Local Plan was issued to the Council on 16 December 2016. The Inspector found that, provided modifications were made, the plan was sound.

Previous Progress

The pre-submission draft Local Plan was published by Bromsgrove District Council for a consultation that took place between 30 September 2013 until 11 November 2013.

Bromsgrove District Council then submitted their draft LocaPlan to the Secretary of State for examination on 12 March 2014.

An Inspector was appointed and initial hearing sessions were held on 16 and 17 June 2014. The Inspector's interim conclusions were then published on 17 July 2014. The Inspector was satisfied that the duty to co-operate had been met, however the Inspector highlighted the need for further work to be carried out to objectively assess housing need.

Inspector's Interim Conclusions

In a hearing session held on 4 December 2014, the 5 year land supply document published in April 2014 was considered. The Council then updated their estimates to include houses that had been completed up to 1 January 2015 and published their new 5 year housing supply report on 6 January 2015.
