Kingstone and Thruxton Neighbourhood Development Plan - Plan adopted

The Kingstone and Thruxton neighbourhood development plan was made part of Herefordshire District Council's local development framework on 1 December 2016.

Herefordshire District Council decided to make the Kingstone and Thruxton neighbourhood plan part of its local development plan on 1 December 2016. The plan will inform development in the Parish up to 2031.

In a referendum on whether Herefordshire District Council should use the Kingston and Thruxton neighbourhood plan there was a 89.4% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 3 November 2016 and had a turnout of 22.1%.

The Examiner's report on the Kingstone and Thruxton Group neighbourhood plan was issued to Herefordshire District Council on 19 August 2016. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Kingston and Thruxton Group Parish Council submitted their draft neighbourhood plan to Herefordshire District Council on 3 February 2016. Herefordshire District Council publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 10 February 2016 and 23 March 2016.

Kingstone and Thruxtone Group Parish Council had published their pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that ran between 7 September 2015 and 19 October 2015.

The application from Kingstone and Thruxtone Group Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Herefordshire Council on 14 May 2014. The application was submitted on 25 March 2014.
