Breinton Neighbourhood Development Plan - Plan adopted

The Breinton neighbourhood development plan was made part of Herefordshire District Council's local development framework on 1 December 2016.

Herefordshire District Council decided to make the Breinton neighbourhood plan part of its local development plan on 1 December 2016. The plan will inform development in the Parish up to 2031.

In a referendum on whether Herefordshire District Council should use the Breinton neighbourhood plan there was a 97.4% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 3 November 2016 and had a turnout of 37.7%.

The Examiner's report on the Breinton neighbourhood plan was issued to Herefordshire District Council on 23 August 2016. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Herefordshire District Council had published the draft neighbourhood plan submitted to them by Breinton Parish Council for a consultation that ran between 4 August 2015 and 15 September 2015.

Breinton Parish Council had held a previous consultation on their pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan that was held between 16 February 2015 and 30 March 2015.

The application from Breinton Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Herefordshire District Council on 28 January 2014. The application was submitted on 12 December 2013.
