Broxton and District Neighbourhood Development Plan - Plan adopted

The Broxton and District neighbourhood development plan was made part of Cheshire West and Chester Council's local development framework on 30 November 2016.

Cheshire West and Chester Council decided to make the Broxton and District neighbourhood plan part of its local development framework on 30 November 2016. The plan will inform planning decisions in the Parish up to  2030.

In a referendum on whether Cheshire West and Chester Council should use the Broxton and District neighbourhood plan there was a 88.5% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 13 October 2016 and had a turnout of 24.9%.

The Examiner's report on the Broxton and District neighbourhood plan was issued to Cheshire West and Chester Council on 16 June 2016. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Broxton and District Parish Council had submitted their draft neighbourhood plan to Cheshire West and Chester Council who publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 14 January 2016 and 26 February 2016.

Broxton and District Parish Council had published their pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that took place between 17 August 2015 and 28 September 2015.

The application from Broxton and District Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Cheshire West and Chester Council on 13 June 2013.
