Daventry District Council decided to make the Brixworth neighbourhood plan part of its local development framework on 2 December 2016. The plan will inform planning decisions in the Parish up to 2029.
In a referendum on whether Daventry District Council should use the Brixworth neighbourhood plan there was a 95.8% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 1 December 2016 and had a turnout of 33.5%.
The Examiner's report on the Brixworth neighbourhood plan was issued to Daventry District Council on 14 July 2016. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.
Brixworth Parish Council had submitted its draft neighbourhood plan to Daventry District Council who publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 11 January 2016 and 26 February 2016.
Brixworth Parish Council had published their pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that took place between 21 May 2015 and 13 July 2015.
The application from Brixworth Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Daventry District Council on 28 February 2013.
