Burghwallis Neighbourhood Development Plan - Referendum results published

The referendum result on the Burghwallis neighbourhood development plan was published on 27 October 2016.

In a referendum on whether Doncaster Council should use the Burghwallis neighbourhood plan there was a 87.4% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 27 October and had a turnout of 35.5%.

The Examiner's report on the Burghwallis neighbourhood plan was issued to Doncaster Council in January 2016. The Examiner found that provided that modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Burghwallis Parish Council had submitted their draft neighbourhood plan on 6 August 2015 to Doncaster neighbourhood plan who publicised the plan for a consultation that ended on 9 October 2015.

Burghwallis Parish Council had published their pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that took place between 9 February 2015 and 27 March 2015.

The application from Burghwallis Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Doncaster Council Council on 2 November 2012.
