Kineton Neighbourhood Development Plan - Plan adopted

The Kineton neighbourhood development plan was made part of Stratford-on-Avon District Council's local development framework on 24 October 2016.

Stratford-on-Avon District Council decided to make the Kineton neighbourhood plan part of its local development framework on 24 October 2016. The plan will inform planning decisions in the Parish up to 2031.

In a referendum on whether Stratford-on-Avon District Council should adopt the Kineton neighbourhood plan there was a 90.1% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 1 September and had a turnout of 46.1%.

The Examiner's report on the Kineton neighbourhood plan was issued to Stratford-on-Avon District Council on 11 January 2016. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Kineton Parish Council had submitted their draft neighbourhood plan to Stratford-on-Avon District Council who publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 23 July 2015 and 4 September 2015.

Kineton Parish Council had published its pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a consultation that took place between 7 December 2014 and 18 January 2015, as well as a second round of consultation that took place between 3 April 2015 and 15 May 2016.

The application from Kineton Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Stratford-on-Avon District Council on 20 May 2013.
