Wye with Hinxhill Neighbourhood Development Plan - Plan adopted

The Wye with Hinxhill neighbourhood development plan was made part of Ashford Borough Council's local development framework on 24 October 2016.

Ashford Borough Council has decided to make the Wye with Hinxhill neighbourhood plan part of their local development framework on 24 October 2016. The plan will inform planning decisions in the Parish up to 2030.

In a referendum on whether Ashford Borough Council should use the Wye with Hinxhill neighbourhood plan there was a 94.7% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 8 September 2016 and had a turnout of 43.7%.

The Examiner's report on the Wye with Hinxhill neighbourhood plan was issued to Ashford Borough Council in January 2016. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Wye with Hinxhill Parish Council had submitted the draft Wye neighbourhood plan to Ashford Borough Council who published the plan for a consultation that ran between 15 June 2015 and 27 July 2015.

Prior to the submission of the plan, Wye with Hinxhill Parish Council had published their pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a consultation that ended on 13 March 2015.

The application from Wye with Hinxhill Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Ashford Borough Council on 10 January 2013. The application was submitted on 26 October 2012.
