Fish farm off western Scotland island environmentally acceptable

The farm comprising of 12 pens and a feed barge would be visible in panoramic views of a sea loch from as far away as 5km. The reporter, however, agreed with the council and Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) that the proposed layout and horizontal emphasis of the man-made features would serve to diminish any negative impact given the expansive scale of the existing seascape and landscape within this part of a Special Landscape Area.
