East Grinstead Neighbourhood Development Plan - Referendum results published

The referendum result on the East Grinstead neighbourhood development plan was published on 20 October 2016.

In a referendum on whether Mid Sussex District Council should use the East Grinstead neighbourhood plan there was a 92.6% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 20 October 2016 and had a turnout of 21.4%.

The Examiner's report on the East Grinstead neighbourhood plan was issued to Mid Sussex District Council on 17 August 2016. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

East Grinstead Town Council had submitted its draft neighbourhood plan to Mid Sussex District Council who publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 3 February 2016 and 16 March 2016.

East Grinstead Town Council have published their pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that ran between 27 July 2015 and 21 September 2015.

The application from East Grinstead Town Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Mid Sussex District Council on 9 July 2012. The application was submitted on 11 May 2012.
