Aldingbourne Neighbourhood Development Plan - Referendum results published

The referendum result on the Aldingbourne neighbourhood development plan was published on 18 October 2016

In a referendum on whether Arun District Council and South Downs National Park Authority should use the Aldingbourne neighbourhood plan there was a 93.5% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 18 October 2016 and had a turnout of 24.0%.

The Examiner's report on the Aldingbourne neighbourhood plan was issued to Arun District Council on 19 August 2016. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Aldingbourne Parish Council had submitted its draft neighbourhood plan to Arun District Council who published the plan for a consultation that took place between 8 June 2016 and 20 July 2016.

Aldingbourne Parish Council had published its pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that took place between 3 February 2016 and 16 March 2016.

Aldingbourne Parish Council had submitted an earlier draft neighbourhood plan, however the Examiner found this plan not to be sound and therefore could not proceed to a referendum.

The earlier Examiner's report on the previous Aldingbourne neighbourhood plan had be issued to Arun District Council in October 2015.

Aldingbourne Parish Council had submitted their previous draft neighbourhood plan to Arun District Council who had publicised the plan for a consultation that took place between 8 July 2015 and 19 August 2015.

Aldingbourne Parish Council had published their earlier pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a consultation that took place between 28 January 2015 and 14 March 2015.

The application from Aldingbourne Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Arun District Council on 7 November 2013.
