Marden Neighbourhood Development Plan - Plan adopted

The Marden neighbourhood development plan was made part of Herefordshire District Council's local development framework on 12 October 2016.

Herefordshire District Council decided to make the Marden neighbourhood plan part of its local development plan on 12 October 2016. The plan will inform planning decisions in the Parish up to 2031.

In a referendum on whether Herefordshire District Council should use the Marden neighbourhood plan there was a 86.5% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 8 September 2016 and had a turnout of 33.2%.

The Examiner's report on the Marden neighbourhood plan was issued to Hereford District Council on 15 June 2016. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.

Marden Parish Council has submitted its draft neighbourhood plan to Herfordshire District Council who are publicising the plan for a consultation that will take place between 24 November 2015 and 12 January 2016.

Marden Parish Council held a consultation on their second pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan between 3 September 2015 and 16 October 2015.

The first pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan was published by Marden Parish Council for a previous round of consultation that was held in February and March 2015.

The application from Marden Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Herfordshire District Council on 14 October 2015.
