Herefordshire District Council decided to make the Eardisland neighbourhood plan part of its local development framework on 12 October 2016. The plan will inform planning decisions in the Parish up to 2031.
In a referendum on whether Herefordshire District Council should use the Eardisland neighbourhood plan there was a 86.3% vote in favour of using the plan. The referendum was held on 8 September 2016 and had a turnout of 43.2%.
The Examiner's report on the Eardisland neighbourhood plan was issued to Herefordshire District Council on 12 July 2016. The Examiner found that provided modifications were made the plan could proceed to a referendum.
Eardisland Parish Council has submitted its draft neighbourhood plan to Herefordshire District Council who are publicising the plan for a consultation that took place between 6 April 2016 and 18 May 2016.
Eardisland Parish Council had published their pre-submission draft neighbourhood plan for a previous round of consultation that took place between 3 December 2015 and 20 January 2016.
The application from Eardisland Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Herefordshire District Council on 24 February 2014.
