Walsingham Planning acquires Ian Jewson Planning

Town planning consultancy Walsingham Planning, which has offices in Buckinghamshire and Cheshire, has announced the acquisition of South West-based firm Ian Jewson Planning.

In a statement, Walsingham Planning said that Ian Jewson Planning will contain to trade under its own name before merging into Walsingham Planning in around 12 months.

Walsingham Planning has offices in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, and Knutsford, Cheshire, while Ian Jewson Planning has offices in Bristol and Exeter, the statement said.

Walsingham Planning chairman Stephen Brooker said that the firm currently has 19 staff, of which 16 are fee earners, while Ian Jewson Planning has five staff, of which four are fee earners.

Brooker said that all staff would remain in place following the acquisition. He said that the deal would increase the firm’s geographic spread and enable it to draw from a greater pool of expertise.

Brooker said: "We are absolutely delighted to welcome Ian and his team into our group and look forward to a strong future together offering an enhanced service to both sets of clients with widened geographic spread and expertise."
