Johnson calls in Wimbledon stadium plans against GLA planners' recommendation

London mayor Boris Johnson has called in plans for the mixed-used redevelopment of the former Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium site, which include proposals for up to 602 homes, despite Greater London Authority (GLA) planners concluding that there were 'no sound reasons for the mayor to intervene'.
