Bradford Metropolitan Borough Council - CIL draft charging schedule published

Bradford Metropolitan Borough Council published its Community Infrastructure Levy draft charging schedule for consultation on 14 December 2015.

Bradford Metropolitan Borough Council has published its CIL draft charging schedule for a consultation that runs between 14 December 2015 and 8 February 2016. The draft charging schedule has reduced the proposed rate for retail warehouse developments to £85 per m2, and restricted to only one area of the Borough.

Previous Progress

The preliminary draft charging schedule was published by Bradford Council for a consultation that took place between 31 July 2015 and 11 September 2015. The preliminary draft had proposed a higher and Borough wide charge of £100 per m2 for retail warehouse developments.

Proposed rates include:

- Four residential development charging zones with rates of £100, £50, £20 and £5 per m2.

- Two retail warehouse development charging zones with rates of £85 and £0 per m2.

- Large scale supermarket developments will be charged £50 per m2.

- No charge for all other uses.
