Bradford Metropolitan Borough Council has published its CIL draft charging schedule for a consultation that runs between 14 December 2015 and 8 February 2016. The draft charging schedule has reduced the proposed rate for retail warehouse developments to £85 per m2, and restricted to only one area of the Borough.
Previous Progress
The preliminary draft charging schedule was published by Bradford Council for a consultation that took place between 31 July 2015 and 11 September 2015. The preliminary draft had proposed a higher and Borough wide charge of £100 per m2 for retail warehouse developments.
Proposed rates include:
- Four residential development charging zones with rates of £100, £50, £20 and £5 per m2.
- Two retail warehouse development charging zones with rates of £85 and £0 per m2.
- Large scale supermarket developments will be charged £50 per m2.
- No charge for all other uses.
