Windsor and Maidenhead Council have submitted their CIL draft charging schedule for examination on 17 December 2015. The submitted draft charging schedule is the same document as had been available for consultation.
The preliminary draft charging schedule had been published by the Council for a previous round of consultation that took place between 19 June 2015 and 20 July 2015. The preliminary draft had proposed to charge all retail and office developments.
Windsor and Maidenhead Council then published its CIL draft charging schedule for a consultation that ran between 23 October 2015 and 23 November 2015.
The draft charging schedule restricted the previously proposed retail rate to retail warehouse developments. The draft also limited the office rate to large scale office developments.
Proposed rates include:
- Three residential (including retirement and extra-care) development charging zones with rates of £240, £100 and £0 per m2.
- Retail warehouse developments will be charged £100 per m2.
- Large scale office developments will be charged £150 per m2.
- No charge for all other uses.
