According to a statement from Strutt & Parker, the five-strong AKA team of chartered town planners has now moved to Strutt & Parker’s Guildford office following the deal.
It means that Strutt & Parker has 26 chartered town planners and 49 offices across the country.
The statement said that AKA Planning was recently involved in the redevelopment of Walthamstow Stadium in east London, and has secured planning permission for more than 2,500 homes in the last five years.
Strutt & Parker senior partner Andy Martin said: "The acquisition of AKA Planning’s team of experts gives us the perfect platform for the expansion of our development and planning services across the South East. The team will be essential in assisting our clients to unlock opportunities in what is an ever-changing landscape."
AKA Planning managing director Adrian Kearley added: "This is a great opportunity to combine our expertise with that of the existing Strutt & Parker development team and to ensure that our clients benefit from a range of complementary skills and services."
Strutt & Parker was ranked 18th in this year’s Planning Consultancy Survey list of leading employers of town planners.
