Cities and Local Government Devolution Bill: Commons second reading

MPs debated the second reading of the Cities and Local Government Devolution Bill in the House of Commons on Wednesday 14 October 2015.

The Bill passed second reading without a division and will now be considered by a Committee of the whole House.

The Bill to make provision for the election of mayors for the areas of, and for conferring additional functions on, combined authorities established under Part 6 of the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009; to make other provision in relation to bodies established under that Part; to make provision about local authority governance; and for connected purposes.
