Chichester District Council Local Plan - Strategy adopted

The Chichester District Council Local Plan was adopted on 14 July 2015.

Chichester District Council has formally adopted its Local Plan on 14 July 2015. The Local Plan will set the strategic vision for the development in the District between 2014 and 2029. The plan does not include the area of South Downs National Park that is in Chichester.

The Inspector's report on the Chichester Local Plan was issued on 18 May 2015. The Inspector had found the plan to be sound provided a number of modifications were made. All the modifications recommended by the Inspector had been proposed by the Council originally.

Chichester District Council had published their Schedule of Proposed Modifications for a consultation that was held between 8 January 2015 and 19 February 2015.

Examination hearing sessions had been held between 30 September 2014 to 2 October 2014, 7 to 9 October 2014, 5 to 7 November 2014 and 2 to December 2014.

Chichester District Council had submitted their Local Plan to the planning inspectorate for examination on 28 May 2014.

Chichester District Council had published their pre-submission draft for a consultation that was held between 8 November 2013 until 6 January 2014.
