Marina maintains conservation area setting with limited landscape impact

In allowing an appeal involving the construction of a 200-boat marina and associated ancillary facilities in Cheshire an inspector expressed himself satisfied that it would not harm the setting of a conservation area and the impact on the lowland landscape could be successfully mitigated. In so finding the inspector examined the cumulative impact of an alternative proposal (DCS No. 200-003-720) for a similar scheme two kilometres to the north of the appeal site.
