Vale of White Horse District Council has submitted its CIL draft charging schedule along with a statement of modifications for examination on 2 April 2015. The statement of modifications clarifies that the threshold on housing development scale is split by not just the number of units but also floorspace.
Vale of White Horse District Council have published an updated CIL draft charging schedule for a consultation that takes place between 15 December 2016 and 26 January 2017. The updated draft charging schedule no longer proposes to charge higher rates for small scale residential developments.
The preliminary draft charging schedule was published by the Vale of White Horse District Council for consultation between 7 November 2014 and 19 December 2014. The preliminary draft did not have higher rates for small scale residential developments.
The draft charging schedule was then published by the council for a further round of consultation held between 23 February 2015 and 23 March 2015. The draft introduced the seperate rates for large and small scale developments. There would have been three small scale residential charging zones with rates of £260, £200 and £0 per m2.
Proposed rates include:
- Three residential development charging zones with rates of £120, £85 and £0 per m2.
- No charge for care homes or rural exception sites.
- Supermarkets and retail warehouse developments (A1) will be charged £100 per m2.
- No charge for all other uses.
