Hounslow Council - CIL draft charging schedule submitted for examination

Hounslow Council submitted its Community Infrastructure Levy draft charging schedule for examination on 28 November 2014.

The London Borough of Hounslow CIL draft charging schedule was submitted for examination on 28 November 2015. The submission draft version of the charging schedule proposes the same rates as had been included in the consultation draft and preliminary draft charging schedules.

The London Mayoral CIL also applies in this Borough with an additional rate of £35 per m2 for all types of development excluding those used for medical, health and education services which will be not be charged.

Previous Progress

Prior to the publication of the draft charging schedule the Hounslow Council ran a consultation on its preliminary draft charging schedule which ran between 7 March 2014 and 22 April 2014.

Hounslow Council had then published its CIL draft charging schedule for a consultation that began on 19 September 2014 and ended on 19 October 2014.

Proposed rates include:

- Three residential charging zones with rates of £200, £110 and £70 per m2.

- Convenience supermarket, superstore and retail warehouse developments are to be charged £155 per m2.

- Health and education developments will not be charged.

- All other uses will be charged £20 per m2.
