Gedling Borough Council have submitted their CIL revised draft charging schedule along with a schedule of modifications for examination on 22 December 2015. The Council had invited comments on the statement of modifications between 19 December 2014 and 23 January 2015. The modifications included minor boundary alterations and changes to what the levy would fund.
The preliminary draft charging schedule for Gedling Borough Council had been published in September 2012 for a consultation that ran until 5 October 2012.
The retail rates in the preliminary draft were slightly higher overall with three proposed charging zones with rates of £95, £55 and £0 per m2. There was also a nil rate for rural retail developments.
The first draft charging schedule was published for consultation between 21 October 2013 and 16 December 2013.
This draft introduced the residential rates that appear in the revised draft. However it did retain the nil rate for rural retail developments from the preliminary draft that were removed from the revised draft charging schedule.
Gedling Borough Council then published their revised draft charging schedule on 4 July 2014 for a consultation that ended on 15 August 2014.
Proposed rates include:
- Three residential charging zones, with rates of £70, £45 and £0 per m2.
- Retail developments (A1-5) will be charged £60 per m2.
- No charge for all other uses.
