Gable walls and new floors conflict with permitted development rights

In refusing to grant prior approval under Class MB of Part 3 to Schedule 2 of the GPDO 1995 for the conversion of a steel framed barn in Cumbria to two dwellings, an inspector held that the insertion of a new floor and end gable walls involved structural changes which did not comply with permitted development rights.
