In a referendum held on 27 November 2014 there was a 92.% vote in favour of using the St Eval neighbourhood development plan to guide development in the area. Voter turnout had been 33.9% of those eligable to vote.
The Examiners report was published on 30 September 2014. The Examiner's report had recommended that the plan's boundary not be altered, however it would be necessary to make alterations to some of the policys and then the St Eval Neighbourhood Plan would then be ready to go to a referendum.
St Eval had submitted its draft plan to Cornwall Council for examination on 15 May 2014. Cornwall Council then held a consultation on the plan between 16 July 2014 and 27 August 2014 before passing the plan onto the Examiner.
The pre-submission draft plan was published by St Eval Parish Council for a six week consultation that began on 10 February 2014.
The application from St Eval Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan had been approved by Cornwall Council on 2 September 2013. The application was submitted on 27 March 2013.
