Planning minister to address National Planning Summit

Planning minister Brandon Lewis is among the speakers confirmed to appear at a conference due to take place in London in March.

Lewis will speak at the National Planning Summit which will take place at the ILEC Conference Centre in London on March 24 2015.

The conference will explore issues ranging from challenges within National Planning Policy Framework on the ground, to examining viability and development management, to looking at how Local Enterprise Partnership growth plans and town centre management play a role in planning.

Other speakers due to attend include:

  • Steve Quartermain, chief planner, Department for Communities and Local Government

  • Mark Southgate, director of major applications and plans, Planning Inspectorate

  • Aidan Wilkie, deputy director for decentralisation and neighbourhood planning, Department for Communities and Local Government

  • Keith Holland, planning inspector, Planning Inspectorate

  • Nicky Linihan, convenor for housing, Planning Officers Society
