Yapton Neighbourhood Development Plan - Referendum results published

The referendum result on the Yapton neighbourhood development plan was published on 23 October 2014.

The Yapton neighbourhood development plan has passed its referendum with 94.5% of votes in favour of adopting the plan. There had been a voter turnout 22.1% for the referendum. Now that the plan has passed its referendum Arun District council will consider whether to make the plan part of its local development framework.

The Examiner's report was published on 14 August 2014 recommending that with modification the Yapton neighbourhood development plan should proceed to a referendum.

The submitted draft neighbourhood development plan had been subject to a consultation between 14 May 2014 and 25 June 2014. Prior to this submission to Arun District Council the draft plan had been published by Yapton Parish Council for consultion from 21 February 2014 until 4 April 2014.

The application from Yapton Parish Council to be the designated body to produce the neighbourhood development plan was approved by Arun District Council on 10 December 2012. The application was submitted on 2 August 2012.
