The Placemaking Awards, in association with Planning, are now in their second year and open to individuals, bodies and partnerships involved in placemaking, whether through planning, regeneration, economic development, urban design or community renewal. The deadline for entries is 17 December.
Categories include an award for the best use of heritage in placemaking, an award for design excellence and another for the best housing scheme.
They also include prizes for sustainability, regeneration, mixed-use development, partnership working and retail-led placemaking. There are gongs for placemaking team of the year and regional awards.
In their evaluations, the judges will look for evidence that entries have improved or are likely to improve a place's physical or environmental quality, or enhanced a community's economic or social wellbeing.
Entries must represent work that has been carried out or completed since 31 March 2013. Winners will be announced at a central London venue in February 2015. More details can be found here.
