Keith Burge, chair of the IED, and Martin Blackwell, chief executive of the Association of Town and City Management, will speak on how to support underperforming urban economies at the conference in west London on 19 November.
They will set out initial insights from the Professional Associations Commission into Underperforming Towns and Cities, which is due to report later this year.
Liz Peace, chief executive of the British Property Federation, will also look at the Community Infrastructure Levy's implications and explore the future for infrastructure funding.
Steve Quartermain, chief planner at the Department for Communities and Local Government, will discuss how to deliver proactive policies and remove planning barriers to growth.
Meanwhile, Planning will be holding an Energy Infrastructure and Environmental Sustainability conference in London on 2 December, bringing together key players involved in planning for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
