Redbridge Council's CIL - Charging schedule adopted

The London Borough of Redbridge Council has adopted its charging schedule on 17 November 2011.

The CIL charging schedule was approved for adoption by the London Borough of Redbridge Council on 17 November 2011. The charging schedule came into effect on 1 January 2012.

Previous Progress

The preliminary draft charging schedule was published by Redbridge Council in January 2011 for a consultation that ended on 18 March 2011. The preliminary draft proposed the same £70 per m2 flat rate that was eventually adopted.

The draft charging schedule was then published by Redbridge Council for a further round of public consultation held between 10 May 2011 and 10 June 2011. The draft charging schedule also proposed the same flat rate.

Redbridge Council submitted their draft charging schedule for examination on 22 June 2011.

The Examiner's report was issued on 9 September 2011. The Examiner found that the Redbridge CIL charging schedule provided an appropriate basis for the collection of the levy in the borough.

The charging rates are as follows:

- All developments will be charged £70 per m2.
