WYG restructures top management

Consultants WYG have unveiled a restructuring of senior management that will split the business into two divisions.

The group, which is expected to announce a return to operating profit in its half-year results tomorrow, said Tim Holden will head its planning, environment and transport division, while Clive Anderson will lead management services, buildings and infrastructure.

Holden was formerly managing director of WYG Planning & Environment, while Anderson was managing director of management services.

WYG said the changes do not involve the creation of any new tiers of management and would reinforce "key roles necessary to achieve the objectives of the business".

Glen Thorn, WYG’s UK head, said the new management structure reflects a genuine change of character and operation for the company.

"We have an opportunity to continue to create our own place in the consultancy market, one that is significantly different from the large engineering businesses with which we traditionally compare ourselves," he said.

"I am looking forward to leading our UK teams into a new era for the company."
