Design and position of building to house free range hens endorsed

The owners of a beef rearing business in Derbyshire have secured permission for a building to accommodate 12,000 hens after an inspector agreed that it is no larger than necessary and locating it away from other farm buildings is appropriate to comply with regulations on the production of free range eggs.
