Arup names new UK head of planning

Multidisciplinary consultancy Arup has appointed the Olympic Delivery Authority's head of design and regeneration as its head of planning for the UK, Middle East and Africa.

Jerome Frost, who has led the delivery of the ODA’s design strategy since 2006, returns to Arup, where he was previously leader of the regeneration business portfolio for the consultancy’s development planning division.

Prior to joining the ODA, Frost was head of regeneration agency English Partnerships’ National Consultancy Unit, which included the Advisory Team for Large Applications (ATLAS), which advises local planning authorities on major planning applications.

Frost said: "I’m thrilled to be returning to Arup. The company is working on so many interesting and diverse projects in the UK and internationally that it was an obvious choice for me."

Arup’s head of UK, Middle East and Africa consulting, Gordon Wilkinson, said: "I am delighted to have Jerome on board.

"Planning is a key business area for Arup and with Jerome’s experience, technical expertise and industry contacts, I am confident we will see the business grow from strength to strength."
