The London Planning Practice was founded in 2003 by Nick de Lotbiniere and Jon Dingle and specialises in projects in central London, with clients including Harrods, Minerva and Northacre, Savills said in a statement.

The statement added that the London Planning Practice's 16 planning specialists would join Savills’ existing London team to create a 60-strong planning team.

Roger Hepher, head of Savills’ planning division, said: "We have been keen to strengthen our planning involvement in the prime central London area, where our residential and development teams are already market leaders.

"The acquisition of the London Planning Practice enables us to have a greater focus in the West End and City and creates the largest planning consultancy within any of the capital’s major property advisory firms."
