Rushcliffe approves plans

Rushcliffe Borough Council has approved plans for the redevelopment of the former Cotgrave Colliery site in Nottinghamshire.

The site forms part of the Homes and Communities Agency's national coalfields programme and is owned by East Midlands Development Agency.

Proposals include 470 homes, land for employment use and open space. The Government Office for the East Midlands will make a final decision on the scheme in the next few weeks.
