Plans to extend waste cycling facility submitted

Plans to extend a waste recycling facility in Shepperton have been submitted to Surrey County Council.

Surrey Waste Management is working on behalf of the authority to develop the centre at Charlton Lane. The facility would feature a gasification chamber to produce energy.

If the plans are approved, about 60,000 tonnes of household waste would be processed at the site every year.
