Bromley sets town action

The London Borough of Bromley has adopted a town centre area action plan to manage development for the next 15 years.

The plan will form part of the borough's local development framework and covers significant proposals for retail, leisure, residential and commercial development.

This includes a £5 million leisure centre upgrade, the sale and redevelopment of the former town hall and the improvements to the southern area of the High Street.

"It is important that high-quality design-led development contributes positively to Bromley's attractiveness as a vibrant commercial and residential town," council leader Stephen Carr said.
