Colwyn Bay masterplan approved

DPP Shape has received approval from Conwy County Borough Council for its masterplan for Colwyn Bay town centre.

The proposals for the north Wales resort include a remodelled shopping centre, a town park and square and a new bridge that would link the promenade to the town.

A housing neighbourhood plan is also to be taken forward for the Greenfield and Lawson Road area.

The first phase of projects, including coastal defence and works at Eirias Park, is due to start in January alongside the new town square and refurbished railway station, which are now under way. DPP Shape led a team featuring Keppie Massie, Arc4 and Martin Stockley Associates.
