The toolkit is aimed at forward planners, development management staff and elected members working on renewable energy and climate change. It was developed by AECOM, with support from Land Use Consultants and the Centre for Sustainable Energy.
The toolkit can be used to gather a renewable energy evidence base for use in target setting and for developer negotiations or to support planning policies in the local development framework on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to climate change.
As development costs were provided by the South West Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership, access to the toolkit is free for all local authorities.
The toolkit is available at PlanningResource.co.uk/doc
