Hoxton mixed-use scheme gets approval

Savills and McDowell + Benedetti Architects have secured planning permission for a mixed-use development on the borders of Hoxton and Islington.

The scheme incorporates 70 homes and commercial space around an internal courtyard.

Meanwhile, the London Borough of Lambeth has appointed Savills' urban design team to prepare a concept design for public realm improvements on Streatham High Road.

It will work with Alan Baxter Associates and Transport for London on potential improvements including wider pavements, easier road crossings, improved street furniture and tree planting.
