Assessment of Professional Competence (APC)

1 November. Young Planners' Network. Room 108, University House, Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham.

The event will provide an overview of the APC process, outline the role of the mentor, provide an opportunity to ask the RTPI representative questions and share experiences and mentoring techniques with others. For licentiates, this event will also establish what APC assessors are looking for in a final submission. Members of the RTPI who have undertaken the APC process will be on hand to provide advice on their experience.

Sustainable Buildings

2 November. RTPI. The Hatton, 51-53 Hatton Garden, London.

This one-day masterclass is aimed at practitioners who want to understand more about features for sustainable design that can be integrated into new developments. There will be a focus on renewable energy and water consumption. Other topics such as materials and ecology will also be explored. The masterclass is designed for those with a basic understanding of sustainable buildings who would like to delve deeper into this evolving topic.
